@Sarah Buchanan I’ve had to turn down everyone on an offenders list because the property is between two elementary schools only a few blocks away in either direction. They can’t locate within a certain distance of schools, so I mention the schools and they move on. This way I’m not discriminating. It’s also why some will commit identity theft to be near a school.

Decided to sell a property that happens to be in the local opportunity zone but the sale fell through. Thinking of listing it on the mls instead of selling it on our own. What are the pros and cons of this?

Here’s the property https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/200-S-29th-St-Lincoln-NE-68510/6622245_zpid/

@Ashish Acharya how do I find out where these areas are because I’m putting up a house that’s not on the mls but is probably in an opportunity zone?

Yes I’m looking for them to have income without the hassle and then I would like to take it over. I’m also considering buying out my sister or splitting the income with her. She’s also in favor of selling them all. She is the executor of the will.

My parents just retired and are now looking to sell their RE investments. I’d rather keep them in the family as long as the numbers look good. They have two years left on the consolidation loan. Included are six single family units including the one they built to live in. There is a fourplex and two warehouses and a transmission shop. What would be a good way to approach them to manage these from a distance and have a conversation about me taking them over?

Our divorce decree states that the retirement accounts and the home was to be split after six months. I was also awarded the house in the decree. My attorney told me that if she wanted to split it, she would take action to initiate the split. It’s been over 2.5 years. Should I do anything to keep it to rent or to sell it? The title company that handled the purchase over 10 years ago didn’t want to take the risk.
