Welcome Elisa! A good place to start with the STR business is to read Avery Carl's book Short Term Rental Long Term Wealth. The book is a good read, and gives you the entire roadmap for the STR business and how to be successful.

I invest in STRs in Myrtle Beach SC. Happy to connect and talk STRs!

@Steven De Lange - Congrats on your first investment in Myrtle Beach! The updates you made look great.

Are you planning to use this as a LTR or STR?

Would love to keep in touch and connect. Feel free to DM me as I also invest in Myrtle Beach.

@Jeff Ebert That I'm not sure about, but I know a lot of people here on BP have had good success with the site! Btw.... I invest in Myrtle Beach as well so good to meet a fellow investor investing in the area!

@Jeff Ebert Have you tried marketing on sites like furnished finder? You might be able to land some traveling nurses etc during the off season.

@Greg Strunak I have Myrtle Beach condos that I use for STR and Mid term rentals. I have them managed through a great 3rd party management company who does a great job! Feel free to DM me and I'd be happy to share more details.

@Sebastian Bruszewski - What a cool and interesting idea! Feel free to DM me as I live fairly close to the area and would be happy to help where I can.

@Liridon Fetahu - Myrtle Beach is a great area to invest as this is the area I currently invest in. The area attracts many vacationers during the summer months, and if you are able to get some winter renters from Oct - March its a win/win.

@Adam York - One thing I would recommend also is it might be worth paying the money to have a few units professionally staged and some professional photos taken.

People need to be able to picture themselves living in a space.
