Hello Everyone,

I'm interested in a small multi-family in Brighton Park, after walking through it today I can see it will need a lot of work. Wondering if anyone knows of any solid contractors that would be willing to walk through the property with me so I can get a better estimate on the cost of the rehab. Willing to pay for his/her time. Thanks in advance.

Wondering if anyone has worked with VA recommended contractors and willing to share their experience working with one. Based off of how their inspections are a bit more strict for VA home loans I'm assuming most of the contractors should be good? Thanks ahead of time!

Hello @Wade Germann

I live out in Naperville, so more so looking around this area. But as I learned the supply of 2-4 unit properties are more common the closer to Downtown you get. One of the many reasons I will be attending local meetups is to get familiar with the area. Thanks for taking the time Wade.

Veteran in the SouthWest suburbs of Chicago interested in house hacking a multi-family property using VA home loan. Since the bigger multi-families are closer to Chicago I'd like to join local meetups to get familiar with areas other investors are in. If you are or know of any local meet ups feel free to drop a comment.

Thanks ahead of time.
