Area is in racine wi. Zip code is 53403 rent goes for 675. Area is not bad and comps are selling for 40000 or more. He has same tenants for 6 years and place is in good condition, carpet is done going to put some kind of durable foor. Other than that just paint and clean.

Hello everyone, 

We have taken a HELOC for buying our first investment property, and I would like to know is this duplex a good deal to buy? Asking price is $32500

Taxes are $3900, both units are 3 bedrooms 1 bath, and are rented for $600/$675, one tenant has been there 6 years, the other 6 months.

First question : is this a good deal?

Second question? Since this house will be pain in full, with HELOC what the best way to pay Heloc/should we refinance it later?

Hello everyone!

My name is Ramona Beyer, and I have been a  passive member since 2014.  I am married, have 2 children, and owned my  business for the last 5 years. As of right now I am planning to take some time off to take care of my girls, 2 and half  and 1 year old.  We purchased a fixer upper 2 years ago and did most of the work ourselves and we triple our  house value. Right now we are looking into a equity loan and planning on purchasing 1-2 properties. Although very excited about this step we are very nervous and would really appreciate some feedback on some analyses  before we make the jump. Thank you so much!
