Hi Tim Wilkinson Thanks for the response. I have not been getting leads from wholesalers. I have been following the market in the area for awhile and it seem like multi family properties in the area are very limited and if there is a property the numbers don't work

Hello All,

I'm gathering information about the real estate market on the North Shore, MA. Notably, the Amesbury/Newburyport area. This Market seem to be very competitive and any Investment properties that are priced reasonably go off the market within a few days or even before they get MLS.

I m hopping to find a few BP investors that have experience in the area to give me some insight on what they encountering in this market.

I am currently looking for a Multi Family Property that I can can rehab and Owner Occupy for awhile.

Any insight on this area would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ralph

@CoreyMelkoian Thank you for the advice. We will be sitting down with Our RE agent soon and laying out our goals. We have not spoke in awhile because we wanted to make sure we were finacially sound before we made our first purchase and we also didn't want to waste or RE agents time if were not ready yet

Thank you everyone for the replies. Bigger pockets seems like a great community to be apart of. I hope to gain contacts and connections through bigger pockets. Dean Serrentino thank you for the offer. I do currently have an agent that I have been working with off and on over the last couple years. We have almost purchased properties in the past but decided that paying off student debt would be better for us in the long run.

Tim, Thank you for your reply. I have not been to any local REIA yet but I would like to start going. I hear it's a great place to start networking

Hello All,

My wife and I are getting ready to purchase our first property. We currently live in Newburyport, MA and would like to stay in the area. Preferably Newburyport, but as many of you know inventory is low and the market is very competitive. We also Love Amesbury as well but that taxes are very high for Massachusetts.

We have spent the last year and half following the Market in the area on a daily basis, paying off over 125,000 in student loan debt, and saving for our first home purchase.

I looking to get into rehabbing homes, flipping, and buy and hold once I gain more knowledge of the business.

Over the last couple months I have been reading books on real estate, as well as  blogs, and post on bigger pockets. It seems to be a great resource.

With all that said I feel that best way to learn is by being hands on and having a great mentor.

I look forward to continue reading and being a part of bigger pockets

Thanks

Ralph
