It's extremely difficult to get straight advice on this. My hubby lived much of his life in other countries where expat workers were common. Here in the USA, advisors who know about the rules & regs seem to be few & far between.

Hi Alex, Yep, that's me on the news channel Sat mornings...maybe you've met my hubby at the local TREIA...he's the tall Scottish dude with the hat!
Alex, we should talk...our model is absolutely made for a guy in your position....you can close loans for yourself, using our loan coordinators it's a no brainer for the originators...& also build a team of folks originating loans which you make a small part of the revenue on. See it & you'll be amazed.
Ever done a webinar?

It was taken at Anthony's Key resort on Roatan, Honduras. If you enjoy scuba, it's a cool place to visit. Great people & great service. The dolphins can stay or leave as they please.....but they stay because they get treated well, fed and have "great company" daily. ha ha

I've been in the biz since 1994, hubby since 2001.
I made the top 100 originators in the entire USA in 2007, (Mortgage Market Guide magazine)
Biz here in Raleigh was tough. But there's a re-fi boom underway.....gathering steam too.
Life is what you make it, it's all between the ears anyhow!
You have a great site. Good job!

Hola Josh, thanx for the welcome.
Yep, I saw that the dual job thing might puzzle folks...so I'm making things a little more clear. I'm a mortgage loan officer and my husband is a real estate agent
What do you think of my swimming companion?

Just introduced myself and wanted to discuss the idea of one-stop shopping for home buyers. Loans & homes in one place.
If a realtor could offer the client (client requires a purchase mortgage or re-fi, ) another competitve quote as part of their normal loan shopping process....then have an experienced loan coordinator pick up the transaction, price, structure, follow-up and close the transaction........how would that be received?
Assume competitive means just that. Fee's rates services...
As a part time W-2 employee of our company, suitable licensed for their state, the realtor would look like a star, increase their value to the client and earn 30% of the loan revenue as well.
What's your thoughts on this?
We're finding a great deal of excitement once people get past the knee(jerk) reaction..."This ain't possible" It is.

Just found this great site. I'm a mortgage broker in Raleigh, my husband George is a real estate agent. We're very pleased to find a relaxed friendly forum to network and share ideas.
Go Team!
