Hello BP. Are there any investors currently investing in multi-family units in San Diego or Orange County? I'm looking for anyone is willing to sit down for coffee or lunch (on my behalf of course) and pick your brain apart about your journey in real estate. Please leave a comment or send a messages if you're willing to do so. Anything is much appreciated, thank you.

Great Success!

Thank you for your advice. I’ll definitely consider and learn about syndicating!

Yes I am planning on moving to Phoenix later in the year, but I do not want to waste time and wait until I'm actually out there to start. I want to raise capital to purchase rental property to attain monthly cash flow. Long term I want to start my own property management company where we'd buy and manage multifamily property. I do have interest in wholesaling again as well.

Right on man! When you say raising capital to purchase rentals are you talking larger multifamily? Syndication? Or partnering with equity partners/investors? Or if you are exploring all the options, there are plenty of great meetups here to dive in. The largest multifamily meetup in AZ is virtual and they are starting to expand with chapters in other states. Check them out https://www.facebook.com/group...

@Dallon Schultz is a member on BP too and always posts their events here as well. He has done a fantastic job growing a successful meetup and also offers masterminds, real estate and performance coaching as well as courses to help you accelerate your multifamily investing career. Totally unpaid plug, I have participated in all of it and I truly think it is one of the best places to plug in if you are ready to go all in!

Feel free to reach out and let me know if you need anything as you get started!

The goal is to invest in larger multifamily property. When it comes to raising capital, I want learn everyway there is to do so. I want explore all options because that will bring more opportunity. Not only that, it will also build my network. I will definitely be in touch!

You may want to reconsider starting your own Property Management Coompany (PMC).

Have seen many get sucked into that part of the business, to the detriment of their other goals.

May be more profitable to just hire out the PMC stuff and focus on raising capital and acquisitions, until you grow enough to then hire people to start your own PMC.

I see what you're saying, thank you for your advise.

Real estate is awesome but you gotta have deals and dollars to start scaling. Seems like you need some dollars so maybe couple ideas would be to talk to some real estate agents to find solid local property management firms in your area of interest and try to work with them. There's all sorts of ways to get some experience and money on the side. Some people I know even work with local flippers to find deals then and get some equity in the deal for their work. If you like wholesaling. Do that! Just stick with it. REI is a marathon not a race. You will do great, don't give up.

Thank You Aaron for your input. Much appreciated!

Greetings Bigger Pockets Community!

I am a former college athlete (basketball) and I am hanging up the shoes to pursue Multi-Family rental property investing full time. Cash Flow is King. I currently live in the Central Coast part of California, but I am looking to invest in Phoenix, AZ or surrounding cities. I used to wholesale in 2020 in other markets but never had a deal go through, which lead to me scrapping that idea to focus on basketball and school. With that being said, I have some knowledge in the real estate business, now I am ready to go all in. I don't have much capital built up right now but I do have good credit and lots of time.

Please I would greatly appreciate anyone to reply with any words of advise of any type. I would love to connect with as many people as possible though BP!

Great Success!
