Hi. I have heard rumors that the state of NC limits the number of hearts/heads per bedroom. I haven't been able to verify this information or find anything on the web. If anyone has insights on this or related matters, please share. Is the rule specific? Does a pregnant woman count as 2 hearts? It's is legal to rent a 2 bedrooms unit to a couple with 3 school age kids? Thank you in advance. rachel

Hi BP friends,

I would like advise on where/how I can obtain information on

North Carolina Landlord/Tenant laws. From what I understand, different counties might also have different laws, too.

Thanks,

Rachel

(I posted about this in another Discussion board. Interested to hear what others in this board has to say, too. Thanks!)

Hi BP friends,

I have 1 rental property that I paid all cash for ($150k). Right now, I'm looking to purchase more rental properties (thinking about 4 doors each in the $50k price range) and would like to know how I can best make use of my equity from my 1 rental property.

I've looked into getting a home equity loan, however, I was turned off by the high interest rate.

I'm reaching out to all of you for suggestions. If you're in my situation, how would you go about doing the financing for my next 4 doors, using the $150K in my first rental property?

Thanks much in advance.

Rachel

@Chris Gordon, have you done much research in those areas? Would love to exchange information with you down the road. My relocation target date is sometime in April. When do you plan to move to NC?

Hi. I am also interested in relocating to this general area...Raleigh/Cary/Apex/Chapel Hill. I'm looking for a neighborhood that has clean and clear sidewalks, and that I can do a 4 miles run (2 miles each way is fine, too). Looking forward to seeing what locals have to say. Thank  you for the post.

Hi. I'm looking for a realtor who works in the Raleigh, Apex and Cary areas. I need someone who is dedicated and takes the initiative to seek out information regarding a property for me. I will have a lot of questions during the process. If you're up for the challenge, I would love to hear from you. I'm currently out-of-state and will be relocating to NC in the spring. Thanks for reading. Jing.
