This outline gives me a better idea of how to move forward and not feel so overwhelmed.

I am brand new to real estate investing l(In Virginia)and find myself a victim of analysis paralysis. I am the type of person who wants to make sure “all my ducks are in a row” before jumping into something. Currently I’m saving up(but how much is “enough”) I know I’m no where near having a savings account that I would feel comfortable with before investing.My credit is decent (705) but I would like for it to get better. It’s literally just me and I don’t have a team yet but looking to get started somewhere and not remain stagnant. My biggest fear is being taken advantage of because I don’t know as much as some other seasoned investors. Advice please!

Thank you Mike, I currently have funds in a single tenant(TOD) account with my job but Just to be on the safe side I also put money in my savings.

When it comes to saving up and setting your money aside for a future investment,what way of saving works best for you? Investing in a traditional savings account at the bank,utilize a CD at the bank,investing in mutual funds, setting the money aside in a safe place at home? Please let me know your thoughts

@Javaughn Harkness I would begin to save save save and repair credit in the process. As a fairly new investor I found the forums along with reading (How to Invest in Real Estate, the Ultimate Beginners Guide to Getting Started) to be of great help.
