Hey there @Aaron Francl I am newly moved to Austin, Tx and I have a buddy that invests in RE in SA and I wanted to know good areas to invest in for single family cashflow or STR cashflow. WE are looking to get a deal in the next 3-6 months. I want to narrow down in B - C neighborhoods.

Thanks in advance.

Top 4 place you would live with a young family and still want to pay relatively low ($350 - $410) with good schools, and good community vibes?

@Jerry Sanders I have a few STRs in San Antonio and they do well.  I’d pretty much echo everything that @Jason S. said.

They definitely bring in more money than a traditional rental but there are a lot more hoops to jump through and also it can turn into a job. Mine are pretty hands off, but things still break and people still complain about things.

Also, just from recent experience the STR permit process has become a little more troublesome. I have a friend who is hoping to use a new property as an STR and has been waiting over a month to get a permit. And personally I have been waiting over 2 weeks on the permit for my new Airbnb. When they initially made the requirement the turn around time was under a week.

Aaron, I would love to connect. I am thinking about looking at real Estate in SA. I just moved to Austin and I have some friends already investing in SA. Would Love some guidance.

@Joe Benson it won't appreciate as fast as Austin but you have a better chance of positive cashflow with LTR

I like the long term rental for cashflow game. Do you know this area well?

Quote from @Loren Polito:

@Joe Benson We focus on the smaller multifamily side here in San Antonio and the surrounding areas.  Please let me know if you have questions on certain areas or neighborhoods.  I think the San Antonio market still has a lot of room for growth so if you are looking for an appreciation play I think San Antonio could be a good market for that.

This is awesome. I am looking in the San Antonio market for cashflow so if that is still a play amongst the Multi family market, I would love to connect.

Hello all,

I am going to be re-locating my family to Austin, TX  (Jan '24) and we are in the process of renting our home and once that is finalized, we will need a FURNISHED short term in Austin for 3 - 6 months. Who can help?

@Trino Martinez this is amazing information that you have given. Awesome that you made it to Cali. We left Cali and came to SLC, and now headed to Austin. We hope Austin works as well as we believe it to. Would love to pick your brain more. Let’s connect!
