@Mindy Jensen

Mindy, sorry for late response. I had issues posting here and realized it was because I didn't verify my email address.

I am interested in flipping, "subject to" financing deals (I believe I can help some of my friends that were recently laid off from my company), and maybe a little wholesaling. Any advice for me as I begin this journey? (I am already on information overload and just need to pick a place to start (focus area) and not try to do everything I am learning! LOL)

@Jeffrey S. Breglio

I agree with your comment with exception of one thing. You only have 75 days after the formation of your business to file with the IRS (S-Designation or C-Designation). So, you only have 2.5 months to decide whether you want S-Designation on an LLC....not a lot of time. So, it needs to be done on front end. Then when profits exceed $100K, talk to CPA and Real Estate Attorney on what to do next to reduce tax liability when profits exceed $100K

Jay Hinrichs I'm in the process of starting an REI business. I have no issues to chronicle this process on BP (I'm also an amateur photographer in the making and also a pretty good writer). I have been in touch with the CPA and attorney to get things moving with creating my business. I have read number of blogs, YouTube videos, countless hours of research, deep thinking on RE (big picture stuff), also been to a real estate workshop. I have several good friends in the business already successful and I plan to be even more successful as they are! 1) I have the money available for Reno 2) Background, no issues. Upstanding citizen 3) I live in Columbus (45 min from the city), but will be working out of downtown daily (Corporate America gig...for now) 4) I have no issues giving back to he community. I do that quite a bit ! If I'm selected, please let me know next steps!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for a potential opportunity like this! Happy Holidays to you and your family!
