Thank you Paul for posting this question because Im also considering this. I figured its alright to have one than more real estate agent as long as they are NOT in the same company (example: Keller Williams) and you make the offer on property with the agent who showed you the property.

Im planning to do this because 1 agent is just not fast enough for me.

Hello folks,

What are your thoughts on getting a real estate license mainly for yourself as a real estate investor?

My issue is that the real estate agent I have is taking longer than I prefer to get back to me with CMAs and setting up appts.

I've heard of asking to get MLS access as a non-licensed assistant. I did ask her about that but she didnt seem too open to that idea.

Now I'm thinking of getting my own real estate license so that I can make my own appts, get MLS access, and more.

What are your thoughts on this? Pros? Cons?

Thank you!

@Deanna McCormick, whoa, chill out. Are you like statute cop or something? No need to insult me. Im sure you arent perfect. Btw, I talked to a lawyer. Christ, please dont post any responses to my posts if you are gonna have this tone. You're not a lawyer, you're not a cop and you're not my mother.

UPDATE: talked to real estate atty for 10 min for free (thank you).

She said if I had mailed bill within 21 days then my case would have been valid. My only fault was that I thought this was outside of the 21 days rule.

Big lesson learned! Deep breath- moving forward. Letting go of this and allowing abundance in.

My clarification: All new renters moving in mid-month pay prorated rent. That's a given and I already do that.

Thanks, yall. It was weirdly difficult to find some rental applicants who didn't lie. Hence, my current apprehension. I really like the month to month deal as I look for a new renter who can move into the unit in March (since spring tends be easier time to find renters).

Post: favorite interior paint color for rental homes?

Grey is the new beige. So go with a light shade of cooler grey. And use it for ALL walls. and remember the paint color and paint finish.

But plain ole beige is good too. Just dont buy a warm tint cuz then it looks like flesh and that's just creepy.

We lost our paint color and had Menards' reproduce it and it was not a good match at all!

For trim, some of the units had wood trim that didnt match so we just painted it all one color or stained it.
