@Petro B. It has been 2 years since your post. At that time it was hard to predict when the hotel industry would be able to recover after the hit. But now, with travel restrictions lifted, including China, tourism numbers are on the rise which is good news for the hotel industry's occupancy rates. I connect foreign buyers with hotels in Japan. If that is of interest, happy to help.

I realize these posts are from a few years ago, but I wanted to mention there are Ramada hotel suites in Thailand that you can purchase for under USD $60K and Ramada will rent out when you are not there for passive income. Yield is 8.87%. If you want to explore further, do let me know. I'll introduce you.

@Ratima Krawinpanithan nice to meet you! If you like living on a resort, there are Ramada suites available for just under USD $60K or less, but it is an hour away from Bangkok on Jomtien. Happy to share more if interested.

@Robin Petrasek

Not sure if Thailand is still of interest as this post is from a few years. However, there are Ramada resort residential suites available in Jomtien, Thailand for approx. USD $60K. It is affordable ownership without the caveats of timeshare. So, you vacation there and earn income when not in use. Ramada rents it out. Yield is 8.87% increasing as occupancy rates go up with the tourist numbers. Developers will buy back after 7 years. No additional monthly fees or maintenance fees as you would have with timeshare. Hope that helps. --Priti Donnnelly
