I did the same as well. (Bought 5 off of eBay for $7.50, just had to print them out.)

For >$2500 purchases, go with the pro desk.

<$2500 = Go with the Lowe's coupon.

I've made two purchases ($1500, then $2800) from Giftcards.com and all of the cards have worked out. (I check their balance at Home Depot once I receive them.)

My avg. discount (off of face value) is about 10.5%.

My question is should I go ahead and replace all of the flooring in the house to match or just do as little as possible cause it's a rental. There is a $2000 difference.

In northwest Louisiana, bedrooms are usually the only rooms with carpet. (This is with what I've seen. I'm not an expert.)

I was chatting with my cousin, a contractor, about putting tile in the entire house. This way I wouldn't have to deal with replacing carpet every X number of years.

My cousin replied, "What if the future buyer doesn't like tile in the bedroom? It's much easier to put in carpet and, if the future buyer requests it, change it to tile later. Doing it vice versa is much more troublesome."

I suppose it comes down to what people usually do or expect in your area.

I purchased a foreclosure with 100% cash and my closing costs (includes titles insurance) were about $900. I should've shopped around to get it down to $700.

Pardon the ignorance, but could you guys please give a list of reasons as to why you would face backlash from this form of marketing?

Did you take it out of their deposit or was the deposit already given back?

Does anyone have any opinion on a location other than Home Depot to buy kitchen cabinets? I'd like to have a balance of cost and quality. (Maybe HD has it and I haven't found it.)

@Kyle Samuel What merchants sell shaker style cabinets? I, too, like the second picture and I would welcome them, especially if they're cheaper than custom-made cabinets.

@Jean Bolger I should've used a different photo. (I assume the one depicted is the 'french country.') I would prefer any of the two below: (probably the lighter colored one)

I'll be putting in custom kitchen cabinets on a home that I just closed. (Though I may sell it somewhere down the road.)

What is your opinion on the style of door used? I have a real bias toward slab-style doors. Something about the flat design with a bar handle looks great to me.

1. Would doing this affect (+/-) the selling price?

2. How do homeowners or people in general view this preference?

3. Is there any issues I should be aware of if I go this route?
