Thanks for your quick response!

The fact that entity cannot be paid kinda sucks, but if forming a team under KW and having commission split between all members is possible - this would be some kind of workaround.

It wouldn't be a perfect solution, since all members would be paid directly, and then all members would have to pay the money back to the business for day-to-day operations. That seems awkward. I guess we'll have to talk to our accountant and see how it could work.

We're not licensed yet (work in progress), but we would love to pick your brain in person if possible. We could stop by your office one day or grab a lunch or something.

Hello,

I tried to find info on this topic online, but didn't find anything.  It's a unique(?) situation, so please bear with me.

Me & my business partners already own few non-RE businesses.  All of them work like well oiled machines - we work great as a team. We know that we will do great in RE as well.

We want to venture into RE world and apply the same "model" : we want to work together as a team.  Ideally we would want to open brokerage, but we're unable to do it right now - CT requires 2 years of working for a broker before we can open our own brokerage.

Does any brokerage work with companies instead of individuals? I know that KW is quite flexible, but we haven't reached out to them yet. I figured I'll ask here first, so at least I know what questions to ask them.

We formed a company (named OurCompany for example) and we have 3 agents. The ideal situation for us would be this: All 3 agents start working for a broker (let's say KW) - preferably all in the  same office.  Once the deal is closed KW pays OurCompany (not that individual agent).   Is that possible?

I guess what I'm trying to ask is: How can all 3 of us work as a team of agents for a brokerage, so the team(OurCompany)  gets paid, not an individual agent?

How does picking a broker work? If 3 of us walk into KW office, will we be able to start working with them?  Do they  just allow any agent to join them, or is like an interview process that you they can say "we don't want you"? Do they have limited # of spots available?

Thanks!

@Michael Doherty - Silver st is a bit below average.   It's very close to Little Poland (Broad St - lots of good polish grocery stores and restaurants), so that's a plus.  But overall I'd stay away from silver / gold / horace. Booth st , north of Broad  is still decent.

@Michael Doherty - it's a nice (for NB standards) area. I live not too far away from there.

anything north of Allen St is usually OK.

I currently live in NB (lived here for 10+ years), feel free to msg me if you have any specific questions - or just ask here.

We'll try to be there this time! ;-)
