Robyn,
We're "in" with you, already filed complaints with Nevada and Ohio, but we fell upon this "Bigger Pockets" sight as my wife was searching anything we could find on "Hughes Capital."
Can the attorneys demand (and get) a list of all the investors to make sure they are aware of what has been done to their "secured investment" even before a Class Action is filed?
If readers (especially those with houses in Cleveland) haven't read this article (from last April), they should:
Door to Door: How a set of broken steps illustrates Cleveland's dance with out-of-town investors Guess who bought a bunch of those trashed homes in April 2021, through another Hughes subsidiary (Home Partners, LLC), who "sold" them to Guardian, and then to us, without any renovations (or renters) at DOUBLE the price they had paid!
Rather than fly there, we got an RE agent in Cleveland to locate and take photos of our "rental homes" when Hughes/Guardian further defaulted the leases by not allowing us access into our buildings to examine their condition, once we saw they were boarded up and unoccupied.
Our fear is when Hughes/Guardian now cancels their leases with us, we'll be stuck with a worthless property (no longer "managed" by Krch Realty/Hughes) that is more than a financial loss, but a major LIABILTY.
Let's work together to get this stopped (both their escape route of Chapter 11, and their fraudulent business practices).
Peace,
Chuck Lamar
