I greatly appreciate everyone's input on this situation and agree a lot with what is being shared. Thank you all. I like the idea of holding onto this property, but do think it best to sell via owner finance if possible. To further the conversation, how would someone go about advertising or finding buyers interested in that option?

you should be able to call the bank with the heir of the property, tell the bank, the homeowner had passed away, and see what you could do in terms of payments, to stop the home from going to foreclosure.
