Thanks @Sergio A.   I am a novice investor have 4 rental properties under my name and now looking to protect my personal assets from the liability.  Don't have multi-million in assets just looking for ways to protect my family and investments.. I have seen post on umbrella insurance as well, seeing which is my best options. As you and @Ethan Giller noted transferring the title to LLC I will get hit with Philly transfer tax (4%) . Things to think about.

Thanks Ethan for the information.

Hello all ,

I have a rental property in the Philadelphia area and looking to transfer the deed into new LLC. I have read on forums that QuitClaim is the process to transfer to LLC, does anyone know if I will need to pay Transfer Tax fees, and if my situation falls under the $1 deed transfer? This property is paid off , no loans attached to his property. Thanks !
