@Steve Allen That's really good to know!

I am still learning, so thank you for that input!

@Caleb Bradley I actually grew up here, and have lived here most of my life (aside from a stint in the Navy and Army).

The North End is actually a good spot for this.

I agree with you in regards to having passive income monthly. My goal is to invest in some houses that I can flip, and get to the point to where I can add in SFH rentals here and there. That way I have passive and active money constantly coming in!

I am still just getting started (and am, in fact, tagging along with another person here who does this so that I can learn first hand). I am just like you, in the fact that I too love learning and absorbing as much info as I can get my hands on! Maybe it's the tech side in us? ;-)

Once I am in the position to make my first flip, I would love to share the process with you.

Also, I will NEVER turn down a beer! In fact, the last tech company I worked for had a kegerator in the office!

One more thing that's funny is the fact that you ended your reply with "cheers". When I was working for that company, if I ever had to email a client - that was the salutation I always used!

So, Cheers!!

@Michael Bracken I LOVE your company name and logo! Thanks for the input! I was kind of thinking that the phrase "house flipper" might potentially have a negative connotation to the persons house I am buying to remodel because they ran it down or something... So I do agree with finding a name that doesn't offend or cause negative feelings for anyone.

@John Thedford You made some very good, valid points regarding using a name that describes exactly the service I am providing. Thank you for your thoughts!

Hello @Caleb Bradley! I too am trying to transition from the tech industry. As well, I too am just starting out.

Unlike you, however, I am going into the flipping market.

I hope everything works out well for you, and let me know if you have any questions about the Boise area in general (places to eat, Boise State Broncos football, nice golf courses, etc)

Have a great one!

I am getting my business set up flipping houses. My goal is to invest in properties and either fix and sell them quickly, or rent them for passive income. I have reached a roadblock at my company name.

What kind of key words are good for a fix and flip/rental business? Investors? Real Estate? Home Rehab? Homes Reinvented?

Would you be willing to share your business names (or cool/original ones you have heard of) and how you came up with them?

Thanks bunches in advance!

@Scott Harper That is a great point! I agree with what you are saying. Flipping has a negative connotation that they didn't take care of their house and now it is up to me to save them from their horrible housekeeping skills.

I do think something positive would be better for a company title. I think it will smooth everything over from the beginning. Thanks Scott!

@Cody Stone Thats funny that you mention my wife, because that is probably what ultimately is going to happen!

I kind of more want help on titles I can use. For instance, it looks like you used "Home Buyers". I just am trying to figure out what kinds of titles can be used to reference a fix and flip type company.

Thanks for all the advice!

Hi, my name is Phillip, I live in Boise, Idaho and I signed up on BiggerPockets a few days ago.

I am going to be starting out in the lucrative world of house flipping (real estate investing).

I have been reading all that I can in regards to this line of work, and am very excited to get started. I have an acquaintance who does this, and she makes great money in the market I am at. She has agreed to take me on, show me the ropes and help me get started.

A quick question I have from you all would be, what have you found to be a good name for a house flipping/investment company? (i.e. blah blah blah investors, blah blah blah repurposors, reconditioners, etc) I think I am making it more difficult than it should be coming up with my company name.

Also, if anyone has any great tips for someone just starting out, I would very much welcome any help!

Have a great day!
