Thank you for the responses. I have been looking at a few areas in my free time. I have always been attracted towards MFR and see there are quite a few to consider.
In my own analysis, I have determined that A2 is way over-priced in value and taxes. I haven't seen a good deal there.
Ypsi has a lot of properties that fit my interest and many can be negotiated in price. There isn't much buying going on there. I feel that the taxes might be the issue. I haven't seen an area that is more appealing than others. There's a lot of charm downtown but those MFR are laid out a little weird and could present issues with young residents.
Detroit has a lot of great deals and other people realize this. The M-1 rail will provide a great boost to some areas and if you're willing to do a complete rehab, it might pay off. I still haven't seen a great deal but I'm looking.
