hey everyone,

I'm very new to real estate investing. I've been starting to read some books to learn which direction and strategy I want to pursue.  I've finished the bigger pockets beginners guide and now looking for new material. I currently have think and grow rich for a motivational read(have also been told to get rich dad poor dad) but I want to get another to learn more about the industry.  I searched around and saw the unofficial guide to real estate investing had some good reviews. However when searching for the book theye are two different editions with dramatically different prices. (New is $200+, whereas the previous edition I found for $25). 

I was wondering if anyone has read these and if there is that much of a difference between the two? Or, if anyone had any other recommendations. I am looking for a broad based book where I can learn which direction and strategy I want to focus on.

I am going to continue to read and research the differet niches until I am familiar with a specific niche and develop a strategy and a business plan to move forward.

@jaymitiguy Thanks for the recommendations! I actually have Think and Grow Rich but havent started it yet. That will be my next read and I have seen good reviews about Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I think I will invest in that as my next book to purchase!

My name is Kevin and I am from Southern New Jersey. I am a young college graduate with a degree in economics and finance and I am looking to start investing in real estate!  I just finished reading the Bigger Pockets Beginners Guide and it really got me intrigued about everything. This past year I have been working as a Financial Advisor but would love to be able to turn real estate investing into a full time job.

I am real excited to participate in all of the forums, I know I am going to be able to learn alot!  If anyone has any suggestions on what books I should look into reading that would be awesome!
