"The WealthLoop Series Beginner's Guide to Building Wealth Buying Houses: The Foolproof Roadmap to Real Estate Riches Without the Risks and Hassles of Landlording"

I like this book alot.

The general overview was a bit long for me. While I think the author has makes valid point regarding the value of income streams, I found some put downs of traditional methods of investing off putting.

That said the coverage of finding and buying a home is great. The part on getting renters is also good, but some advice on how to do credit and background checks would have been helpful. The example was very good as well. The parts on how to handle the back end of the transactions and how handle the money put aside for the buyer/renter are missing....

Thats my biggest criticism. Its almost as though the author doesn't expect the buyer/renter to ever purchase the home. I say this because the author implies that you can use the down payments to finance subsequent purchases. That would be fine, if there was some detail around how to do this and still have the buyers money for the purchase.
I also think that there should have been a recommendation for a lender to evaluate the back end of the deal and the renter to see if the end purchase is realistic.

Again, despite my criticisms, I still recommend buying this book. I'm strongly leaning toward this method of investment but don't think its a complete system. I'm now looking for another book that has detail this one is missing.

I've read this book and HIGHLY recommend it. T. Harv Eker really gets into your head and helps you to understand what in your past (your financial blueprint) is holding you back.

He also helps to shatter some of the myths around what it means to be rich. I liked the book so much I attended the Millionaire mind intensive seminar.

It has already spurred me to action on several fronts. First, I've really started to put some effort into understanding investing. Second, I've started actively manage my money. Third, I've created a website to help people budget their money and hopefully make some myself. Lastly, once I've managed to save up some money I'm going to jump into real estate.

Hi,

Been lurking on this site off and on for a month and decided to join (another small win in the "do") column.

I'm interested in investing in real estate as well other ways than my job (which is a very good one and has been for the past 12 years) to make money.

I love the section on investors who do vs. investors who don't. I'm really trying to move myself to the do column. I've read a book called "Beginner's Guide to Building Wealth Buying Houses" that advocates by homes and the doing the lease option path with them. Love to hear from anyone who is currently doing it in this area. The book resonated with me.

My inspiration is my family, with 3 girls, twin 2 year olds and a 5 year old, I have a feeling that I'm going to need some some serious money in about 12 years or so. ;)

The book that got me started taking action was "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" by T. Harv Eker. There's some pretty good reviews of it the book forum.

Its inspired me to create website based on their budgeting system. As I'm new I won't post it here, but its on my profile. Its very new and I'd love feedback.

Thanks for reading my long winded post!
