The homestead exemption is quite large.  For rentals, you can expect that amount to at least double.

Did you tell the lender that you were occupying the property?  That rate seems low for the current investment loan market....

You'll get docked a little on the appraisal, but the sq ft is the main driver.

soapbox:  Probably should have researched this before the investment.

also somewhat soapbox: not a lot of money to be made in airbnb vs long term rentals in Huntsville, because the rental premium for the STR is not very large. Folks don't come to Huntsville on vacation, they come here for work.
