I like to go to a coffee shop and maybe grab a beer or a cup of coffee and do some reading. My productivity increases immensely when I do this.

Something so simple like this is actually amazing advice. Thank you my friend.

edit: Wow, thank you for all the replies everyone. Just reading the comments gives me more devotion to the work. For those asking, I want to get into real estate because I have always wanted to invest, but more importantly help others to invest maturely. Ever since I was a young boy I remember wanting to get into the business. I would call real estate brokers up at age 15 and ask them the secrets to their success.

To be honest though sometimes when I study the material, it does discourage me a little since I failed the first pre license class back in September. That class however was only a week long and I literally could not make time to study because by the time you got home, it was time to eat and go to bed. Your brain was also fried and I had a headache every night. Was not pleasant.

Anyway I am not trying to let the coursework discourage me since I have a lot more time to study in this 8 week course. I definitely want this. No question about that. I never did take finance in college so a lot of these concepts are still sometimes hard for me to grasp. Am working on it though.

Thanks again for the replies.

Hello,

I am currently taking the pre license course a second time. The first course I took was only a week long and was way too short to learn all the material in such a short time. Right now I am taking the 8 week course through Bob Hogue School of Real Estate (Florida). I am in week 6 right now and am having the most ridiculous time to try and get myself to study this dry material. I know that once you're licensed you don't work with that jargon a whole lot, but to get my license I need to know this. Does anyone have any advice on studying habits with this course? It's all so bone dry and find it so hard to get in the mindset to want to study this. I do need to pass it this time around to get my career started. Any advice is more than appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

Peter
