@Nathan Cross

Hey just wanted to reach out to say I’m a new investor and my goal is to invest in NC next year. I have looked at Fayetteville area and it looks like a great market. I hope we can stay connected and I wish you the best on your venture.

@Randy E. My Apologies I should've been a lot more specific. So my goal is to look into NC properties that are in towns near bigger cities. I'm looking for single family homes that range anywhere from 20k-65k. Keep in mind that I want to use the BRRRR strategy.

My main concern is that as of right now i I'm using Zillow to take a look at the market (Im not sure if Zillow is the best source to use) and I see plenty of Homes that are great fixer uppers in my price range. Why am I seeing so many homes available? Makes me wonder if those homes are worth it, I was always told NC is a really hot market. Another concern I have is that I'm seeing a lot of rental properties available, I'm assuming people aren't renting as much there? If that's the case using the BRRRR strategy might not be the best strategy in the NC market, correct me if I'm wrong.

Hello just wanted to start off by informing everyone that I'm completely new to REI but I know that this is something that I want to dive into without hesitations. I have never invested in anything in my life but I want to start building a portfolio to financially secure my future. One goal of mine is to rent out 5+ unit buildings, i don't know if I should start into such a big project or work slow first with single family homes.

So my question is how does someone at a young age get involved with REI when there's so many factors, information and laws that goes into this field?

Should I look for a mentor or a specialist broker who can guide me into making the right moves with my investments?

And if so how do I go about asking someone to help me, that request seems like a burden to anyone.
