The owner abandoned the property 8 years ago. Massachusetts adverse possession laws are 20 years.

I tried to talk to the treasury department and they were not helpful at all. They said if we decide to have an auction it will be published. How would  get them to give me a tax deed?

Hello, Anyone have suggestions?

I found an abandoned property not too far from me in Massachusetts. According to the only neighbor, the owner left 8 years ago and never came back. There is no mortgage but she has not paid the taxes since 2007 and owes $38,000. The city will not do a tax auction, they only keep adding to the lien. I hired a PI to track her down. She lives in FL and will not respond to phone calls or a letter. What next?
