I am looking for help filing the paperwork on an inherited piece of property in Puerto Rico. I have received a clean and clear judgment from the courts and was told that I could go to the Departamento de hacienda and have the property filed in my name. When I arrived the clerk informed me that this has to be done by a lawyer or a notary.   I have contacted three different lawyers, but have either been told they would get back to me or have been outright ghosted.  I live in Florida so I can kind of understand the hesitancy, but this has been going on six months.

Any direction is Greatly appreciated!

Can someone point me in the right direction to do a title search in Puerto Rico? My wife was blindsided the other day when a distant relative of her contacted her to tell her that her grandfathers house in PR had been vacant for the last three years and wanted to know what she was going to do with the house? My wife had always assumed that after the passing of her grandfather that her grandmother had sold the house when she moved in with relatives in New York. Her grandmother has recently  passed.   Her goal is to find out if she does indeed own the property so she can determine the next step.
