@Frank Patalano overpaying for the property. I am looking to buy and hold for rental. I am reading “BP: investing in rental properties”. Trying to educate myself. Still haven’t found the process to find good deals. Must read more I guess.

Well I own a property now that I am living in.  This is my one and only property that I have purchased.  While house hacking  does seem interesting,  not too sure if I could live in a multifamily with my tenants.  But if I can find the right multifamily I would much rather start off with that than a single family home.  I do have a question though.....If I decided to go with the house hack route,  would I be able to rent the property I have now?  I have lived here since 2014.  Thanks for your help!!!

Is HUDHOMESUSA.ORG a good organization to find deals on?

Hey BP members,  I would like to introduce myself.  My name is Paul Kennedy from Monmouth County, NJ.  I am brand new to the real estate scene but I am taking the actions to educate myself as much as I can through the BP website and I also started reading Brandon Turners "Rental Property Investing".  Anyone out in NJ willing to talk, I am ready to listen to any ideas.  I hope to learn as much as I can from you guys and thanks in advance for all your help.

Anyone in New Jersey want to discuss buy and holds?  I am in the middle of reading "BP: The Book On Rental Property Investing"  but if anyone could help me out with some knowledge on how to get those "only pay 70% deals" I'd much appreciate it.  Thanks in advance.
