@Phillip Bradrick thanks for the reply.  I think there's some good value to be had in Wake Forest as well.  

I am looking for a rental property to invest in Wake Forest, NC.  I am considering brand new construction.

What are the pros and cons in your opinion, considering this seems to be a high growth area?  Is there a better strategy?

I am interested in 2 things:
1. increased home value over time
2. monthly rental income around $1750+
