Post: Michelle Wu’s impact on Boston landlords?

Hello all, I recently bought a multi family home in East Boston. I’m curious if the “rent control” Michelle Wu speaks of were to pass would it be city wide or certain neighborhoods? Any predictions on what some of the guidelines might look like? Thanks

I came across an off market 2 family on a large lot near Boston that is a very good deal. My sister loves the property for its location and would live in the upper unit for a year or two since she likes the city life (and yes I’d be bringing her in on it due to the low down payment of the owner occupant loan.)   So it works for both of us. I like it for long haul because the area is really starting to be developed and I would like to build a larger unit building on the lot someday.

My question is if I went in with my sister as a co borrower (her being the occupant) could the title be switched solely to me after a year or two when I’m ready to develop it? What do you think are the easiest options here? Thanks
