How does one take possession of a vacant lot? should I buy land insurance on such a lot? Does a lien holder who redeems the land pay back what the investor paid for the land? I live in Alabama.

Should I have a title search done before I buy a tax deed (not a certificate)?

After I receive a tax deed, do I register it at the deed office?

Do I need to wait before I can use the land?
