Post: Exploring house hacking opportunities in Medford, MA

Hey all,

I've been renting in Brighton, MA for the past 4ish years and am looking to purchase a small multi-family in Medford sometime in the coming year. Was curious if anyone has experience investing in this area or has a good understanding of what neighborhoods to look at/stay away from?

I've begun attending open houses for listings on Redfin and Zillow just to get comfortable with the process and gain a better understanding of what questions to ask—any suggestions related to attending open houses would be much appreciated as well!

Thanks @Jonathan Bombaci!

Happy to chat through your marketing strategy! My background is primarily in paid media and SEO, so would be super interested to see what you have planned in terms of content.

Also, appreciate the invite to Boston Billiards! I'm pretty slammed with work this week, but would love to join a meetup at some point.

Hey all,

My name is Patrick and I'm a digital marketer located in Boston, MA (from New Hampshire originally). I came across the BiggerPockets Podcast a couple of months back after doing a bit of research on house-hacking. I'm hoping to buy a small multi-family in the next year or two, live in one of the units, and rent the other(s) out. I've listened to 100 or so episodes of the podcast and have become super interested in so many different facets of real estate investing. Figured after 100 episodes, it was time to make an account on BP and join the forum. 🙂

I'm sure tons of people come to BiggerPockets looking for mentors that can help show them the tricks of the trade, and while I'd love to connect with folks in the New England area and learn as much as I can about real estate investing, I'd also love to offer help in any way possible. If anyone has any questions about their marketing campaigns across paid search or social channels, or would like to chat about anything related to digital marketing, I'm more than happy to help offer any insight I can!

Looking forward to connecting with folks through the forum!
