@Corey Meyer thanks for the suggestion. At this point we would probably start small and self fund with cash, then try again with institutional capital after we have operated for a year or so instead of giving up more equity.

@Lucas Gillmore this lender focuses on loans with an agricultural component to them. This project will eventually have agriculture tied in which is why we originally reached out to them.

I am currently working on a project to create a STR "Retreat" in the Northern Kentucky area. It will initially consist of building 6 units roughly 700 sq ft in size on approximately 9 acres. My partner and I have reached out to two local lenders without success (one needed prior agriculture income, and another wasn't comfortable with the hospitality component). I am curious if anyone out there is either affiliated with a lender or has worked with one that would be interested in funding a project of this nature. Any leads would be appreciated!
