Hello everyone,

My husband and I just obtained a tax deed on a home in Cleveland, OH. It will be going to sheriif's sale first and if not sold, the property will be ours. We do not have an S Corp or LLC. We live in NY. Would you recommend either and would we have to establish in OH or can we establish in NY?

Oraude,

Check with the county to make sure no one owns the tax lien certificate on the property already. The tax lien certificate  could have been sold at auction for each year the taces have not been paid. If so, the owners would have to pay the liens with interest and fees as long as the timeframe for payment is still open, otherwise the certificate holder has first dibs.

Good luck,

Patricia

Definitely would like to be included in the school. Of course I would have to follow classes online. Thanks for thinking of this great idea. Looking forward to learning, learning, learning! Let me know what I need to do to become a student.

If I purchase a foreclosed property in New York for cash, how long should I expect to wait before I can begin to rehab. Once the rehab is complete can I flip it right away?
