I too am a newbie and almost did the Phil Pustejovsky mentorship. But thankfully I found Bigger Pockets in my research. The podcast have an amazing amount of info. I am only 8 or 9 into the podcast and I have much, much better understanding of where I want to go with REI.

It comes down to working your way through BP and taking notes and you will find the areas that you have interest in.

I have a few but that's a long story. The normal cars are a 2000 Tahoe and 2012 Ford Escape. But have a toy or two with a 1956 Triumph TR3. Was my grandfathers, then my uncle did frame of resto. He is 80 plus so was ready to sell and I got it.

The I just got the new toy. Was not really planing on but we rented it and just had to get one. 2015 Mustang Ecoboost 4 cylinder turbo getting 32 mpg on highway.

Good morning all. I am a new investor learning lots with Bigger Pockets. Thanks for all of the helpful info. After attending a free workshop from Fortune Builders and hearing how a few deals can be done creatively my partner and I were ready to jump in. After doing a bit more research, we found lots of guru's claiming everything. Both my partner and I ran into Bigger Pockets but looked at the flashy stuff first. What we both realized is the BP is more of a true mentor vs buy my stuff and my peons will help you pay more to learn. We have always known that real estate is where most of wealth is held. After owning a job and working for others, we are finally ready to learn from others with real estate investing done the right way.

We are both in Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement Sales which is great because it puts the client first for whats best for them vs that next sale for us. Problem is it builds income to us slow. So with lots of flexible time, we are ready to dive in to the learning, then doing right by the numbers. We are looking at flip and flip to rent with some wholesaling to get started. But in research fond here in BP wholesaling seems to be better suited for different times in the real estate cycle. But that can be said for flipping and renting too.

We have other commitments until mid May but we are learning lots from BP and all the tools here. So we are looking to have or first deal ready to go by July or August. Won't be easy but will be easier with the help from people here on BP. It's hard not to be in information overload when you first get started but BP has given me a guide to work through so just within a few short days of studying I am going from overwhelmed to seeing the path to take. Thanks again for all the great info and time you all have put into Bigger Pockets. I look forward to adding my up's and down's in my path to becoming a successful real estate investor.
