Haha I will definitely keep an eye out for properties in Plymouth @Charlie MacPherson. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks @Michael Lucero! That is some great advice. I'm going to my first REIA meeting on Thursday!

Thanks for the information @Account Closed Quincy is definitely high on my list because of it's commuter hub nature. However, it seems like it's becoming harder to find a deal for the aforementioned reasons.

And yes, compared to Boston, the value you get on your dollar in Rhode Island almost makes investing there a no brainer.

Good luck getting your RI license!

Thanks everyone for the hospitality. And thanks @David Barnett! I am currently looking at Quincy and other surrounding towns for opportunities. I'm also looking in the Southern MA (Attleboro, Mansfield, etc.) and Rhode Island markets, as there seems to be more opportunities there. The Boston market is saturated for sure, but I am not ready to take it out of the equation just yet.

Welcome Gary! From a fellow CPA, I wish you best of luck as you start your investing career. I too, am at this very exciting stage!

Hello BP nation! My apologies for the click bait-y title, but let's admit, it was a little funny. What's building a community without some humor!

My name is Pablo and I currently reside in Boston, Massachusetts.

I want to thank @Michael Brown for bringing me to the dark side that is BiggerPockets. I am relatively new to the community, but I have been binge listening to the BP Podcast for a little over a month now and I have to say I am enjoying my time here so far. I'm also wrapping up Brandon Turner's "The Book on Rental Property Investing" and if you haven't picked up a copy yet, I highly recommend it. And no, Brandon did not pay me for the plug.

So what do I do? I am a CPA currently working in public accounting. My experience in the field allowed me to work with business clients in various industries, including real estate. I am quite familiar with the accounting side of the business and I am eager to learn the rest of the business.

I am looking to purchase my first property in my current area, using "house hacking" and eventually the "BRRRR" strategy to acquire the next few properties. My current goal is to own 5 rental properties in 5 years. I am very excited to start my journey and hope to meet some great people on the way.

Feel free to ask me anything!

Thank you for your time everyone!

Best Regards,
Pablo Bilbaolavieja
