Hi everyone. My name is Oscar and I am in Cypress, Texas, and 61 years old. The saying goes that it is never too late to start, but I must recognize that I am starting late in my life. However, after 37 years in the oil and gas industry, I have reached that stage in life when I would like to do what I want to do, and not what I have to do, enjoy my family more, as well as have the freedom to leave a job, and start doing something different.

There are different ways to invest in Real Estate, and I have to learn what better fits me at this time in my life and my finances. There are so many choices; however, I am ready to learn and take action. I am open to hear from the pros, and from those that started under similar conditions.

Nice meeting everyone.

As a real estate investor, when buying and selling a property, in my case in the state of Texas, is it better to utilize the contract that has been promulgated by Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC)? or one drafted by a state licensed attorney?

Basically, I would like to make sure:

1) I do not want to get in trouble/uprotected because some required clause is missing.

2) I do not want to get in trouble/uprotected because there is a clause that does not need to be in the contract/agreement.

I'll appreciate your experienced feedback.

Thank you.

Hi; I am just starting, and I guess I need the advice of lawyers and accountants that know the ropes about RE investment. I am in the Cypress, Texas area located just outside Houston, Texas; so, my preference would be in someone in the general are that I could contact and start setting my team at the same time.

Any recommendations? I easily could sear in Google , Yahoo, and others, but I thought that with so many investors in BP it would be best to get a referral.

Thank you for your consideration......Oscar
