I started the fortunebuilder education to real estate in July. OK, true you can learn real estate through this website or for free on any other website. What I see is that people are just focusing on the education part and that is it. FortuneBuilder is more than real estate. It is mindset about how to run a business, it just happen to be real estate is vehicle that they use to spread their message about being a true entrepreneur. Learning how to do real estate deals and how to run it as a business are two different things. All I can say is this, any investor that can walk away from their investment company, do other things in life and still make as much money as if they were still doing the deals...then yes you do not need FB. But if your business suffers because you are not around, that is the difference between working IN your business and working ON your business. You want the latter for a happier life.

Thank you Mark and Kenneth, Sorry for the delay in responding. It is a BIG change in my life, and trying to keep up with everything is a little challenging at the moment. My goal is to check in once or twice a week.

Yes, My goals are aggressive, I like to test myself. I heard this quote from a motivational speaker. "Shoot for the moon because even if you miss you will be among the stars."

Thank you

Hello Everyone,

My name is Oscar Almonte. I recently started an investment company with my wife and sister in law, wish me luck. On a serious note, they have a high work ethic and high morals. I also have a 3 year old girl with daddy's strong personality that is getting ready for pre-school.

I am self-employed as a personal trainer in the NYC area for 16 years. At this age of 44 I decided that I want to become rich and personal training was not going to get me there anytime soon.  I needed to change direction and started to learn real estate from Fortune Builders, which lead me to this site when they mention that this was a great place to network.

Goals

Year 1.........10 deals a mixture of wholesale and rehabs. Probably leaning towards more wholesale deals as we learn. Hire help for the tasks that are easy to execute.

Year 2.........10 wholesale and 10 rehab. Continue to outsource jobs and hire more help.

Year 5 ........To be fully staffed and just managing.

Year 10.......own 10 buy and hold properties and have rehabbed a minimum of 500 properties and do other things beside real estate.

Ultimate goal as a company is to rehab 100 properties a year or more until the day I die and hopefully my little girl can continue to give families their dream homes. Where there is a will, there is a way.

My Motto

Past failures are the seeds to harvest future success.

I get goose-bumps every-time I say or read that.
