Quote from @Frank Avallone II:

Hey @Orville Joseph, how long ago was the issue? Have you tried getting pre-approved before or are you hesitating because of this issue you are mentioning.

So I haven’t gone get and have been hesitant. It has been about 2-3 years since those came on my report.

Hi,

I have been holding off on getting a property because I had some remarks on my credit report. I would like to know did anyone purchase a house/property with any charge offs on your report?

@Michael Albaum I appreciate that a lot. Yes indeed you have highlighted what I want a good investment to be.

Something that appreciates and creates good cash flow.

Also investing in the right neighborhood that will attract homebuyers or renters where there are convenience factors such as schools, stores, transportation etc.

I am looking to get into Boston Real estate for two reasons

House-hacks and long-term investments that can lead to buying more properties.

I’d love to see who I can work with in the area.

I am brand new to real estate investing. I want to know before showing the money, how do you know a piece of property will be a bread-winner/good investment?

What do you look for in all aspects? Or do you hire someone for that?

I’d love to hear everyone’s real estate strategies and house-hack experiences. Especially for those who had average credit and not a lot of funds. How do you go about finding hard money lenders? Step by step advice?
