Real Estate Investments. This is what I've dreamed of doing!

Hello, My name is Luis Michael Orts.

I'm starting to understand a lot of the core concepts introduced in these wonderful forums and podcasts, and honestly a few questions have come up.

1) I would love to learn a few tactics you use in negotiations when putting a home under contract, and what exactly you do when the deal doesn't go your way.

2) How would I determine the basis of what a "GOOD" area of town is perfect for Rehabs? (even if perfect doesn't exist haha)

3) How would I determine if a General Contractor is a good fit for my needs? What are some questions I can ask to "FILTER" through General Contractors?

4) Are there any CPA's and Real Estate Attorney's you'd recommend to me in the Houston Area? Preferably in the South-West region of Houston.

5) Since I don't have a lot of start-up capital, would I be better off finding a Real Estate Investor to be my partner, or should I look further into Hard Money Loans/Private Funding?

By the way, I've been reading and listening to podcasts for close to about 5 or 6 months, so I do have a very basic understanding of certain aspects.

Thank you Biggerpockets!

Hi, my name is Luis Michael Orts. I came across Real Estate Investing at a young age when I saw my grandfather doing it with buy and hold properties, and it honestly sparked my interest.

I'm looking to get started in Real Estate Investments, but I don't know where to start. I don't have much money at all, and I understand it isn't a get rich quick scheme.

But I want to learn and expand it as a business.

How should I go about starting?
