I am closing soon on a triplex in the city. This will be my first MFH and I am considering a home warranty. What are your thoughts on using them? Are they useful?  Or are they a waste of money?

Thanks!

Is there a reason that you want a small bank?  Or do you just need a good lender?

@Chase Hoover this is crazy. In Philadelphia I have received inquiries for what looked like an escort service. I have a friend who accepted a suspicious reservation that indeed turned out to be for sex work. And this was before the Coronavirus!!

I saw a recommendation in anther BP forum for a CPA named Kevin Chou.

I haven't used him yet but consulted with him on the phone.  He seems pretty good.

Good luck!

So weird to consider getting married when you sleep together, live together, and you've already written up a business plan that involves years of doing business together with clearly defined traditional mom and pop landlording roles for the both of you -- he's the fixer and handles tenant relations, she's the bookkeeper and handles the money. It would be a true trailblazing move for a bright, financially-forward-thinking young lady looking for her one true and perfect soulmate in life to tell her handyman beau to s**t or get off the pot before she puts down a down payment on their first triplex.

OMG, I can't even.

I respect your position.  Didn't meant to offend.
