@George Skidis @Zack Karp @Account Closed Thank you very much for your advise, much appreciated. From what Zack said it seems I might have trouble setting up a LLC anyway as I am using a conventional loan with 5% down and buying with my wife.

From what you all have said it seems best to set up a Land Trust and get an umbrella policy with enough liability to protect us from any issues. Thanks all

Currently looking to purchase a multi family or duplex property to live in and rent other unit out. Is it best to set up a LLC? will it have tax benefits or not? just trying to figure out what's best practise
