Hi Everyone! I'm 22 and a recent graduate of Cornell University. In the last couple months before graduation, I reluctantly signed on with Teach for America as a math teacher (thinking I'd give back to my family's home state, Mississippi). Although my dreams told me to just start my own business, I have shied away from entrepreneurship because I knew I had to take care of my sister and me. Well, a couple months into my teaching job I was pretty much forced to quit because of a district-wide error in the certification process, which would leave me as a substitute instead of a full time professional. I refused to receive $85 per day with no benefits to teach upper level math in one of the worst districts so I sold a few pieces of furniture and old things to move out West. I grew up in New Jersey with a dream of always moving to the other side. I figured that now is the time to pick up where I left off, before I signed onto be a slave for a false promise in the public education system. Now, I'm moving into my new place in Coronado this Sunday. On Monday, I want to hit the ground running in this business.
