Hello all,

Currently looking at properties in my area on auction.com, I am looking to rehab and subsequently resell at least two properties by the end of this year and there are a few on auction.com that have caught my attention. My main concern is how accurate the valuation figures are. I've seen properties that are starting at 150k yet are valued at 270-300k. This seems almost absurd in today's market. Furthermore, I found it slightly bizarre that auction.com doesn't require any fees for users of the website to access this info. So could anyone verify whether or not the property valuation figures in the 'property information' section on auction.com are accurate? Moreover, is it a reliable website to use when looking for good flipping deals?

Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your replies, I'll begin looking in the North side of town, It seems like a very active market. What are property taxes like in the areas you mentioned?

Hello all,

I have for the most part focused on rental properties but would like to now move into flipping, particularly rehabbing and subsequently reselling properties, as the return is faster than rental properties. Could any of you recommend good areas in and around Atlanta, in reputable school districts, that are safe, where I could look for fixer uppers. Furthermore, could you recommend any reliable sites to use when looking for fixer uppers, and no, I don't mean Zillow! I'm relatively new to the real estate investment game as I only started out with rentals two years ago and I'm just going about looking for flips now, so any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
