Hi all,

We FINALLY found a house we'd like to live in for our primary residence.  It's the neighborhood we like, has a pool and has been recently updated.  Well a few days into escrow, I think I've discovered the reason why there was all new flooring.  I called my insurance agent to get a quote and he said there was over $200,000 worth of water damage in 2016 and $16,000 worth of water damage in 2017!  Then he gave me a pretty sizable quote to insure the house for one year.  We are headed over there to meet with the home inspector this afternoon and my agent is also going to speak with the selling agent as well to see what she says.  My question is... what other questions should we ask?  What other things should we be looking for?  Should we have another inspection for mold/something else?  I want to cover all my bases so we aren't stuck in a problem house.

Thank you!
