Hello all. My family and I have had enough of getting ahead just to get knocked back down. We are ready to start seeking a 2nd string of income that can help us weather the bad luck.
Both of us have good jobs and things are looking up.

Looking to see from experienced people: If you were in my situation, where would you start?

Thanks,

JD

Congrats on getting started, its never to late, I suggest the Real Estate Rookie podcast, Education and building your network, but more importantly knowing why you want to do this and what you want when searching for your product. Even i'm realizing and hearing(podcast) myself when i know what I want my search becomes easier, I know how to say No, I know when to say yes, and I know what i need to gain in order to take specific steps needed.

Think think think,......s usually what I'm doing  all day everyday. I know I'm not the only one that thinks aimlessly about what my next action is.  Breaking down bigger goals into smaller goals sounds easy, and actually is when you know the field, but what about when its a new territory?  For me Education is my first step, and secondly plan, but can there be too much planning, and when do you take action?

If anything what helps me keep searching for my next action will always be a simple quote "Slow progress is better than no progress."

Welcome!

Having a background in inspections is a HUGE tool for your toolbelt. Put that side by side with you personally having a license and having access to your own MLS to make searching for expired/cancelled listings that much easier, you are already steps ahead of the average Joe.

I will keep that in mind, Yes with the inspections I used to help my mother with her old contracts and I had to do things such as take photos of items out of code, if houses were supposed to be winterized or simply ready to be put back on the market. Having my mother who used to be a real estate agent I remember sitting in open houses as a kid, never thought it would come full circle

Good afternoon. My name is Chris and i reside south of Atlanta Georgia. Ive been heavily interested in Real estate investing for a while. I am finally at a point I can begin my journey and Bigger Pockets has been a major help with their podcast. I am currently enrolled to finish my license  to become a real estate agent.I have some experience in home inspections but nothing too major or formal. I love to research and analyze data, and i have a knack for finding things that others cant. Im excited to be here!
