Hello everyone.  I own a property , in a not so great neighborhood, which is paid off & is worth maybe $75-$80 k. I have $30 k in savings, no auto or student loans and excellent credit. I'm past middle age and I would like to purchase a duplex to house hack in a better neighborhood. Currently the duplexes start at $300 k . I only make $39,500 a year.  Would I qualify for a mortgage this size?
