Hi!

I'm a Norwegian that are looking for a real estate agent and property manager in Indianapolis. I live in Norway and are not going to Indianapolis very often so I'm dependent on the team I'm building.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a reliable real estate agent/property manager that can help me find deals in Indianapolis, preferably with owner financing (I'm not able to get a bank loan in the US). I'm looking for buy & hold deals. Rental properties.

Someone might ask why I want to invest in the US. The short answer is that in Norway it's real hard to find deals that gives a positive cash flow. You can look at this in two ways; Either the real estate prices are too high. Or the rental prices are to low. Of course people are earning money on real estate in Norway as well, but its hard if you're not able to cash out large parts of the property when buying. So thats the reason! And because I love traveling to the US and want another excuse to come over:)

Why do I choose investing in Indianapolis? Because @Morgan Nilsen recommended it. After I've been listening to his advices I've done some research myself and found that Indianapolis seems like a great place to start:)

I'm looking forward to hear from you!

@Eric James Thanks for answering.

I posted this post at the same time I posted another post with the question "difference between condos and appartments" :) Now I know the difference.

So yes, I'm talking about buying individual condos:)

Thank you @Seth Borman for answering.

So it's preferable to invest in a condo as a beginner in real estate investment?

Hi!

I'm John from Norway and I'm not very familiar with how things work in the US when it comes to buying a rental property. I'm educating myself because I'm interested in investing in the US.

In Norway, without going into the details, the best choice is to buy an apartment as a rental property. Owning a single family home as a rental property is mostly a bad idea because you will probably not be ble to get a positive cash flow.

When I read forums, articles and sales ads for rental properties, there are always talk about single family homes. Noone ever speaks about investing in an apartment as a rental property.

So I wonder if it's because I haven't been looking close enough, or are there some good reasons that I should know about?

Thank you for answering :)

Best regards

The uneducated Norwegian

Hi!

I'm John from Norway. There is a few years since I last posted anything at biggerpockets.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between an apartment and a condominium? Are there any difference, or are there just two different words with the same meaning?

Thank you :)
