Looks solid @Britt Treece. I will compare them with AAOHI in the near future.

I apologize for the formatting of my original post. The form apparently will not accept that formatting.

Lastly, I would love to hear your tips and tricks. I'm always open minded to hear new ideas. I will message you privately.

As I expand my investing horizons I have considered obtaining an associate broker and home inspection licenses.

In regards to a home inspection licenses in the state of TN, a 90 Pre-license Course is required to become state certified. I've looked around at number of different providers who offer said service and quite frankly have found varying costs and reviews, some of which to the point I find shocking.

For example:

American Academy of Home Inspection
AAOHI
Division of T.R.E.E.S. Inc.

Reviews: positive

Online 90 Hour Prelicense$975
8 Hour Approved Continuing Education by Correspondence
8 hour Course$99 + $9.95 S&H
8 hour Courses (16 hrs.)$189 + $12.75 S&H
8 hour Courses (24 hrs.)$279 + $15.30 S&H
8 hour Courses (32 hrs.)$369 + $16.90 S&H

VS.

InterNACHI

International Association of Certified Home Inspectors

$49/mo* OR $499/yr

Reviews: neutral

At the end of the day, I don't mind paying a little extra for a good provider. On the flip side, I have a notable amount of experience in the field. So, do any of you have experience with these providers? Are there other providers you would recommend? Do you think the school chosen effects which inspector businesses and individuals choose?

I'm Nolan Scott from Chattanooga, TN. I currently work for the Express division of FedEx. I purchased my first duplex earlier this year. I have an educational background in engineering and business and have grown up in a family that has had several members employed in the construction industry.

I joined BiggerPockets looking for tips and techniques that will help grow my property investment empire, so that I may one day take over the world! Wait, or is it get rich quick and work three hours a week? Jokes aside, my current primary goal is to own seven rental properties within the next five years. From there I would like to consider moving away from my W-2 job and possibly into flipping, if the market supports such a venture.

As much I like talking about myself (and trust me I do... I just condensed this introduction down from 3 pages to two paragraphs. Not easy...) I want to say thank you to the creators of BiggerPockets. I've listened to several of the podcasts today and briefly browsed the forums, and I'm truly impressed! Thank you for bringing together so many talented, like minded individuals in such a professional online environment. I can't wait to learn from all of you!
