@Indasia Summerfield

Welcome to BP! I'm also a new investor (soon to be agent) in the PDX area. I'd love to bounce idea's off each other if you're interested. A great suggestion is definitely to listen to as many or all of the podcasts as you can, they are invaluable. I'm still working on them and read as many books as you can. I was trying to dig deeper into some legitimate economic news sources regarding real estate which I thought would help me broaden my understanding of the RE economy. You might try browsing the PDX monthly RE section and the economist for some insight there.

Good luck to you!

Post: How to Find a Broker in PDX

Hello All!

I'm a new member who is about to take my national OR real estate exam during the first week of December. I'm currently researching several brokerage agencies around OR. I live in PDX - Beaverton area right now. My husband and I are currently trying to find our first home (like a duplex or triplex) and rent out several units.

I don't necessarily want to be a FT agent, but I do want the education, resources and assistance that might come along with a bigger full service agency. I have a FT job currently in the medical field but am looking to branch out and invest FT (although saving up funds is in order first - I have some) Does anyone have any tips or ideas on an investor friendly Realtor in the area? I've read a lot already on BP - specifically that they are hard to find. I've also browsed the CIAS website which is a great tip I found elsewhere, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask here!

Thanks for any and all input!
